Presidency speaks on ‘dismissal’ of NACA DG, Sani Aliyu

The Presidency on weekday confirmed that erstwhile Director-General of the National Agency for the management of Aids (NACA), Dr Sani Aliyu, resigned his appointment voluntarily.

The President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and substance, Malam Garba Shehu, same this on his Facebook page whereas dismissing insinuations that the weight unit was destroyed.
Garba said: “Dr Sani Aliyu, the erstwhile Director-General of the National Agency for the management of Aids, resigned voluntarily and this was approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.
“This distinguished Nigerian resigned so as to relinquish full attention to his pursuit of a crucial international organisation job.

“In this regard, false reportage to the result that he was destroyed for one reason or the opposite is unhelpful to his legitimate aspiration. He left on his own.’’

DAILY POST had according that the Permanent Secretary, General Services within the workplace of the Secretary to the govt of the Federation, Olusegun Adekunle, on weekday proclaimed the appointment of Gambo Aliyu because the new Director-General of NACA.

He same the appointment of the new head of NACA, that was approved by President Buhari, was in line with the supply of Section eight, Sub-Section (4) of National Agency for the management of Aids (Establishment) Act, 2007.

Adekunle disclosed that Aliyu’s appointment because the Director-General of the agency was for associate initial term of 4 years.
