AFCON 2019: Why I’m not scoring goals in Egypt – Ighalo

Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo, has given insight into why he has not been grading goals for the team at the continued African Cup of states, AFCON, in Egypt.

Ighalo explained that he’s not obtaining enough passes from his teammates, thence his inability to attain additional goals within the in progress tournament.

Speaking with reporters, Ighalo, who scored the lone goal in Nigeria’s triumph over Burundi, stressed that as a striker, one cannot do a lot of if he doesn’t get passes.

“You will count what number through passes I even have happened the matches and if you don’t get passes, there’s not a lot of you’ll be able to do as a striker,” he said.

Speaking on the spherical of sixteen game, Ighalo same they need done enough work to beat any team within the competition.

“We ar taking each game one at a time. we tend to don’t seem to be promising something. i prefer it after we ar written off. we’ve got been operating arduous and everything are going to be totally different from the second spherical,” he said.
